Xiaomi Raising Over $1 Billion

Xiaomi is fast becoming the most interesting smartphone maker in the world, already the third largest smartphone seller with 19 million units sold this year. Even with the millions of smartphone sales, Xiaomi is still looking for private funding, instead of making its company publicly available on the stock market.

In a recent round of funding, Xiaomi apparently raised over $1 billion, valued at $45 billion. This is a huge valuation, $10 billion more than the previous round of funding around the same time last year.

Awalnya, saya iseng nyari bisnis pulsa yang mudah dan murah di google. Eh…ketemu dengan situs ini kios-pulsa.com. IDM tidak kompatibel di firefox terbaru?

Baru baru ini telah dirilis firefox dengan versi terbaru yaitu versi 5. Di versi yang terbaru ini saya mendapati banyak sekali add-ons firefox yang saya install dan berjalan di versi firefox sebelumnya, namun setelah saya melakukan update firefox ke versi 5 ternyata banyak add-ons yang tidak kopatibel. Salah satu add-ons firefox yang paling sering saya gunakan adalah add-ons IDM (Internet Download Manager) yang juga tidak bisa digunakan (incomportable) di firefox 5, otomatis IDM pun tidak bekerja secara normal. Nah, untuk menyiasati hal ini apabila terjadi, kita perlu meng-update add-ons IDM nya ke versi 7.3.1. Biasanya add-ons ini tidak menupdate secara otomatis jadi kita harus melakukan update secara manual. Berikut ini langkah yang bisa dilakaukan untuk mengupdate add-ons IDM di firefox anda:

1. Download add-ons IDM terbaru untuk firefox 5. Bisa dapatkan disini atau disini lalu ekstrak.
2. Buka Firefox 5.
3. Tekan Ctrl+O.
4. Akan muncul kotak dialog, arahkan ke file yang sudah diekstrak.
5. Tekan Enter atau Open.
6. Selesai, IDM siap digunakan

Jika IDM masih belum bisa digunakan berarti add-on harus diaktifkan secara manual. Silahkan buka Add-ons Manager dan cari IDM CC 7.3.1, kemudian klik enable disamping add-on itu. Biasanya ada perintah Restart Firefox, silahkan restart firefox Anda. IDM kembali berkerja normal kembali.

pernah ngalamin tiba-tiba YM ngeblank alias tidak muncul text baik yang kita tulis maupun yang di kirim oleh lawan chat kita? saya pernah, dan lumayan bingung juga mesti di apain, di uninstal and instal ulang udah tapi masih juga nggak beres. akhirnya coba jalan-jalan bareng mbah gugel akhirnya di ajak mampir ke rumah babeh terus di kasih mantra seperti ini.

• setelah di download, jalankan file tersebut
• jangan lupa non-aktifkan dulu YM nya.

Skype now Available For Smartphones with Android OS

Customers with an Android now can use Skype, so you will have to download an application, free from the Android Market. With the application, users can make free calls, low cost between fixed and mobile numbers, and receive and send instant messages to each other. The program runs on smartphones with version 2.1 and 2.2 of Android.

The software can also run on other phones with Android, but Skype does not guarantee the functionality or compatibility with all devices that run Google’s operating system do.

Apple marries iPad with laptops in new MacBook Air

Apple is cashing in on the popularity of its iPhone and iPad to boost demand for its oldest product, the Macintosh. The company announced that its popular app store for the iPhone and the iPad would soon be coming to its laptops. It also launched a revamped MacBook Air at an event at its headquarters.
The computer is seen as a marriage of what Apple has learned from desktop computing and mobile devices. Like the iPad, the Air will have no hard drive and rely on flash memory.

"It's like nothing we've ever created before," said Apple boss Steve Jobs.

"We see these as the next generation of MacBooks. We think all notebooks are going to be like this one day. We've been inspired by some of the work we have done on iOS and want to bring them back to the Mac," said Mr Jobs.
Analysts said the laptop sends out a clear signal to the industry.
"This is a strong reminder to everyone out there that Apple is still in the PC business," said Michael Gartenberg, research director with Gartner.
"They are still making a lot of money in the PC business and if anyone thinks they are getting out of that business given the money they are making they are very mistaken."

UK net is "not ready" for future

The UK is slowly climbing up the broadband world rankings, but is still not "ready for tomorrow," according to a global study of net services.
The annual report, commissioned by network giant Cisco, looks at how well countries are doing in terms of both quality and penetration of net services.
The UK is now ranked 18th out of 72 countries, up from 25th place last year.
South Korea is once again ranked first.
The annual study, conducted by the University of Oxford's Said Business School and the University of Oviedo in Spain looks at a range of factors, including both the number of homes to have broadband and the quality of the services.
